Orthopedic care you can count on from a team you can trust
Your foot is strong, flexible and functional, yet foot problems are among the most common health problems. The human foot is complex, containing 26 bones, 33 joints and a network of more than 100 tendons, muscles, ligaments, blood vessels and nerves. An average day of walking brings a force equal to several
hundred tons to bear on your feet. That's why it is important to take good care of your feet, and to see your podiatrist if you are experiencing any foot or ankle pain.
United provides services to treat the following conditions.
Treatment and referral to a podiatrist can reduce amputation rates related to diabetes by 45-85%. Maintain a comprehensive foot care program that includes an annual podiatric exam with risk assessment foot care education and preventative therapy.
Medicare allows for your toenails to be trimmed by a podiatrist every 61 days?
Medicare will allow for a pair of diabetic shoes to be custom made by your podiatrist every year?
